As one of core and key equipment in the dual-pressure process of nitric acid, ammonia oxidation waste heat recovery furnace will be forced to stop work, because of its high technological process, complex structure, high temperature, high pressure. And the reaction process will give off a lot of heat, which should been take away timely, if not the high temperature will not only affect the catalyst activity, thereby affecting the reaction rate, but also damage to the device. Therefore, it is significant to study the process of ammonia oxidation, waste heat recovery technology and equipment for the long term development of nitric acid industry.In this paper, according to the actual production that the problems of waste heat recovery furnace of ammonia oxidation reaction in the nitric acid production process:(1) Focusing on the calculation of mass and heat balance. The rationality of the design of the parameters in the reaction process is studied, and the calculation results are verified by the process simulation software.(2) According to the fact that the coil of superheater often explosive,analysising the structure of superheater, evaporator, water wall and the heater to make a appropriate optimization for device structure. Specific solutions for coil in the superheater are adding the first evaporator to reduce the heat radiation of high temperature superheater directly.(3) Using three dimensional flow field simulation analysis software to simulate the gas distributor. By changing the internal structure to improve the effect of distributor.Through the above research, this paper solves the outstanding problems that exist in the actual production, reduces the frequency of superheater pipe explosion, improves the gas distributing effect, makes ensure the requirements of the actual production of enterprises, and achieves the stated goal of this study.
