The influence of blasting seismic effect is accompanied by the expansion and development of mining industry in recent decades; it receives people’s attention gradually. Many experts and scholars have been actively engaged in this research and achieved fruitful results. Randomness and uncertainty of blasting seismic wave make the research on the propagation process of the wave complicated and difficult. Therefore, the influence of blasting seismic effect and its disaster control are still the current important research direction in the field of blasting. This article does some research about a tailing reservoir nearing an abandoned mine blasting work site which is under the influence of blasting seismic effect. Through on-site monitoring and collecting the blasting vibration signal data, and then using linear regression analysis theory and signal analysis theory to analyze the vibration characteristic and seismic wave propagation characteristics of the dam which is under the action of blasting seismic wave. The characteristics of vibration velocity and frequency of tailing dam which is under the blasting vibration have been explored. This paper mainly carried on the following research works:(1) importing the data to the blasting vibration signal analysis software that came from monitoring instrument, and then obtains the vibration velocity waveform diagram. It can be found that there is a significant difference between the top of the dam and the bottom of the dam:In the blasting vibration velocity peak value, the blasting vibration velocity of the crest measuring point is significantly higher than the bottom measuring point; In terms of the duration of vibration, the duration in the crest measuring point reaches 2000ms, while the bottom measuring point is only around 1000 ms.(2) Processing and analysis of blasting vibration signal based on relatively mature and perfect theory in signal analysis field. According the Fourier transform theory, to get the distribution regularity of vibration frequency in the crest and bottom of the dam. The crest vibration frequency is mainly distributed in the 0-40Hz, while the range of vibration frequency in the bottom of the dam is wide, and it mainly distributed in 0-80Hz; according to the theory of wavelet analysis, obtained the energy distribution characteristics of the dam under the action of blasting vibration.(3) By using the powerful computing and programming capability of Matlab software, and based on least squares linear fitting theory, to find out K and a which associated with the geological conditions and blasting parameters in Sadov’s empirical formula.
