Walking-beam reheating furnace is the most important equipment in steel industry, and the quality of temperature control algorithm directly relates to the production index of quality and efficiency. The temperature control strategies that commonly used are based on the single PID algorithm, and it needs a lot of experiments to comfirm the parameter of PID. With the development of Adaptive Control algorithm, the control technology of reheating furnace has been improved. But these algorithms still depend on the mathematic models. The data-driven Control only depends on the IO information, but there are still a mount of IO information to deal with when the system is convergent, which has caused some impact, and the algorithms are difficult to realize.The new theory based on the Data-Driven Control, which includes the advantage of the traditional PID algorithm and Data-Driven Control, can realized the PID parameter self-tuning. The paper has verified the convergence and anti-disturbance of the new algorithm with PID algorithm by comparative tests. And the new algorithm extends the SISO system to MIMO system, which solve the problem that PID algorithms can only be used in SISO systems.This paper also verifies the strong convergence when data pocket droupout happens in Ethernet communication. But the speed of tracking performance is inversely ratio to the data packet droupout. And the algorithm with compensation, according to the characteristics of the algorithm, has a better tracking performance.For the reheating furnace system, the paper designs the industrial control system, which adopts the self-tuning PID algorithm about the temperature-cascade control based on Data-Driven Control. The PLC collects the temperature and transmits it to the computer by Ethernet after AD conversion. The computer processes the temperature and gets the instantaneous PID parameters, then transmits to the PLC. Finally the system can realize the control of temperature by regulating the valve of opening.
