Currently, the environmental pollution has a great negative impact on human health. The pollution of sulfur containing wastewater is one of the main reasons for the increasing water pollution.Through the study of sulfur bacteria physiological characteristics and sulfur bacteria on the physiology and ecology of the algal effects to understand the desulfurization performance of sulfur bacteria, and the application of sulfur bacteria in the treatment of sulfur containing wastewater.(1) Efficient desulfurization process depends on the efficient desulfurization performance of sulfur bacteria screening.Isolation and screening of a strain So with high efficient desulfurization capacity from Zhumadian chemical plant.The desulfurization capacity of So and the identification of sulfur bacteria strain So gram negative bacteria, was amplified by PCR, molecular identification of 16S rDNA, strain So alkaline sulfide Alcaligenes.sp,as typical desulphurization bacterium.(2) By measuring the optimum growth temperature and pH value of strain So, growth and desulfurization characteristics of sulfur bacteria So were studied. The results showed that the optimum conditions for the strain SO were about emperature 25℃, pH8.0, and the sulfur bacteria concentration was 12 X 108 cfu/mL. Under the optimum conditions, the strain had a very high growth rate and desulfurization efficiency.(3) The treatment of dyeing wastewater with sulfur bacteria, and the CODcr, chroma and pH value of several important detection indexes were determined.The results showed that after the treatment of sulfur bacteria, printing and dyeing wastewater pollution indicators were greatly decreased.This proves that sulfur bacteria decontamination effect was obvious.(4) Separation from a local eutrophic pond, purification and screening of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. Under laboratory conditions in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii inoculated into different concentrations with strong desulfurization function of sulfur bacteria Alcaligenes.sp. The algae and bacteria co culture system fora period of time after, a large number of algae cell death, indicating that the sulfur bacteria growth of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii has a strong inhibitory effect.By measuring the change of chlorophyll a and chlorophyll fluorescence value in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii cells.the results show that sulfur bacteria So on Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and photosynthetic system is very destructive, photosynthetic system was inhibited.Determination of peroxidase(POD) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) enzyme activity in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii cells, showed that the antioxidant enzyme activity was stimulated and greatly enhanced.As indicated by this study, sulfur bacteria was in separated. The decontamination effect is obvious and lethal inhibitory effect in printing and dyeing wastewater on cells of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.
