Energy is the material base for human survival. With the rapid economic and social development, the contradiction between supply and demand of energy is increasingly drastically. Coupled with the irrational structure of energy distribution, low efficiency of energy utilization and other energy issues, energy has constrained the long-term economic and social development. Electrical energy is one of the most widely used energy, and therefore solving electrical energy problem should be the first priority in solving energy problems. Electrical energy has brought great convenience to our lives, however with the expanding power grids, there are growing potential risks in power supply security and stability. In addition to security, the traditional energy supply systems have the shortages of environmental pollution, losses in long distance transmission, low energy efficiency and so on, which brought distributed energy system into being.Distributed energy system, also known as Combined Cooling Heating and Power (CCHP), is built on the concept of energy cascade utilization. It combines the cooling, heating and power generation as one. It decentralized small-scaled power generation systems in the vicinity of users, with gas turbines or internal-combustion engines powered mainly by natural gas. Distributed energy grids and large power grids support and complement each other. At the same time, due to the limited distributed energy development and research in China, although it is relatively environmentally friendly, it still impacts the environment. Currently, there is no perfect standard for emission, and the national emission standards corresponding to the internal combustion engine has not been established yet. If we are blindly optimistic about its environmental impacts, while ignoring the real problems, the shortcomings of distributed energy will eventually be exposed, and the original meaning of its development will be lost. This thesis mainly studies stationary internal gas-combustion engine CCHP system through literature review, summarizing reference, interdisciplinary research, field research, and expert consultation to analyze its environmental performance and the environmental impact evaluation and concerns in hoping to provide reference to the emission standards of CCHP and its environmental protection performance assessment. AERMOD plume diffusion prediction model is used to calculate and analyze a typical case of the impact of Nanjing smoke emissions in NOx, CO, SO2 on the ground floor and different heights. The noise is also forecast and analyzed with the help of the commercial model. Through the research, it is proved that the impact on the surrounding residents and other environmental protected objectives is less than that on the main road vehicle emissions, while the impact of NOx on the floors higher than the exhaust height is greater; and some suggestions are put forward accordingly.
