In recent years, water pollution has become a serious problem and most of the effluents have different degrees of contamination. Heavy metals such as Pb2+, Cu2+, and Cd2+ in water are usually considered a serious menace to the environment especially to human health. Adsorption is one of the most effective methods for contaminant removal from polluted water. Activated carbon, zeolite, silica gel, metal oxide, the MOF material are essential for the adsorption of heavy metals, the removal of Pb(II) from water has been studied. But many traditional adsorbents are selectively limited and their adsorption capacities are always low. In the context of these, it is definitely critical to develop green efficient adsorbents for sewage treatment. Herein in this paper, Titania aerogels and the MOFs materials (MIL-125), ZnO materials have been successfully used in the adsorption field.Currently, there is few findings about the TiO2 aerogels adsorb lead, comparing with reported MOF materials and metal oxides removal of lead, in this paper, we have. successfully removed Pb2+ from aqueous solution by using the adsorbents, MIL-125 (Ti) and duckweed templated ZnO Materials, which have a high adsorption capacity, improved adsorption properties, providing a reference for our future synthesis of efficient adsorbent material. The main contents of the research are as following:(1) Titania aerogels were synthesized via sol-gel method by using polyethylene glycol-600 (PEG-600), cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) as templates. The MIL-125 (Ti) materials were prepared by reflux method. The adsorbents ZnO materials were synthesized which templated by duckweed.(2) The obtained materials were characterized by N2 adsorption/desorption, X-ray diffraction and FT-IR and used for the removal of Pb2+ from aqueous solution.(3) It was found that TiO2 aerogel template by PEG exhibited higher adsorption capacity than those aerogels without template and templated by CTAB and PVP. Its adsorption capacity was 181 mg Pb2+/g at pH=6.5. MIL-125 (Ti) materials also have a high adsorption capacity which can reach 132 mg Pb2+/g. This paper is about the removal of Pb2+ from aqueous solution by the adsorbents ZnO materials templated by duckweed. The saturated adsorption capacity is 560 mg Pb2+/g, significantly higher than the ZnO material without template, showing duckweed template play a important role in the process of removal of lead.
