Manure is very rich in nutrients. It is an ideal raw material of animal feed or bio-organic fertilizer. At present, manure is processed into animal feed and bio-organic fertilizer mainly by ensiling and composting. But these two methods not only take a long time and need a lot of space, but also seriously polluted the surrounding environment. We designed a set of fermentation equipment based on effect of temperature and dissolved oxygen greater impacting on fermentation. The equipment consists of a solar-assisted heating device and a fermentation tank. It was used to ferment or compost the chicken manure with two-step in high temperature and room temperature, resperctively. It could process chicken manure into animal feed or bio-organic fertilizer in a relatively short time. The methods were as follows.1, the chicken manure feed’s fermentation step was as follows. First, mixed the corn flour, bran and microbial agents consisting of lactic acid bacteria, yeast, thermophilic heterotrophic ammonia-oxidizing bacteria and thermophilic sporotrichum with fresh chicken manure. Stirred them uniformly in a apparatus and adjusted a water content of about 50%, then fermented it for 8 to 12 hours in sealed condition at above 50℃. Second mixed the agents, corn flour, wheat bran and soybean meal, added them to the completed fermentation material in the first step, stirred uniformly and fermented for 24-30 hours in impacted and seal condition at 35℃. Result indicated that microbial fermentation can largely improved the sensory properties and palatability of chicken manure. The content of E.coli reduced to less than 100 CFU/g, and all the Salmonella and Shigella in chicken manure were killed. The content of total amino acid and true protein were higher than pre-fermentation, and the crude fiber was significantly lower than that before fermentation. After feeding chicken with fermented chicken manure of 25% content in the daily food, the growth of chickens had not been adversely affected.2, The bio-organic fertilizer decomposition step was as follows. First, mixed rice bran, straw powder, calcium phosphate and microbial agents consisting of lactic acid bacteria, Bacillus subtilis, thermophilic heterotrophic ammonia-oxidizing bacteria and thermophilic sporotrichum with fresh chicken manure. Stirred them uniformly in a apparatus and adjusted a water content of about 45%, then hermetically fermented it for 20 to 25 hours between 50℃and 55℃. After mixing the agents and rice bran, added them to completed fermentation material in the first step, stirred uniformly and fermented 25 to 30 hours in impacted and seal condition between 37℃ and 40℃. Result indicated that the bio-organic fertilizer existed as a granular, taupe and no smell and no mechanical impurities. It was detected that the content of lactic acid bacteria was higher than 108CFU/g and total viable count, total organic matter and nutrient provision were abroad the national standard (GB/T 19524.1-2004). The bio-organic fertilizer don’t content live ascaris eggs and pathogens, and the content of E.coli reduced to less than 100CFU/g. Fertilzation as basal fertilizer, the bio-organic fertilizer sshowed obvious advantages of growth performance for planting vegetables compared with compound fertilizer.Method mentioned above was simple and didn’t produce odor and polluting gases. It did not require expensive equipment and have lower energy consumption. So it was a convenient and reliable method for small and medium-sized farms to processing chicken manure pollution in resource utilization.
