Our country is a big country of coal resources,with coal production capacity continues to expand in recent years,coal mine safety accidents occur frequently.Coal mine safety accidents not only cause some economic losses,but also threaten the lives of these miners seriously.When the coal mine safety accidents happened,Mobile rescue capsule can protect the miners to wait for rescue.To ensure the normal operation of the rescue capsule,the lithium-ion batteries has become the first choice of back-up power batteries by it’s high energy density,high rate performance,low self-discharge,and low environmental pollution.In order to ensure the safe use of lithium-ion battery packs,battery management system must be added to the lithium-ion battery.This paper designed a lithium battery management system for Mine mobile rescue capsule,the front end signal acquisition is ML5238 chip,and ML610Q488 is the battery control chip. Compared to conventional voltage acquisition circuit, the system hardware is simplified,it reduces board space,while sampling accuracy and speed are greatly improved.Paper introduces the design of lithium battery management system,include voltage acquisition circuit,current acquisition circuit,temperature acquisition circuit and so on.For inconsistency of the series battery,system added passive equalization hardware circuit and improved the speed and accuracy of battery equalization through software control tactics.After compared some classical remaining capacity estimation algorithm,the paper presents an improved method based on open circuit voltage and charge accrual remaining capacity estimation algorithm,which joined the battery capacity correction,discharge efficiency correction and SOC0 correction,the algorithm greatly improved the accuracy of estimation of the remaining capacity.Paper gives a detailed flow chart of the various software modules and design ideas,the authors realizes the function of overcharge / over-discharge protection,overcurrent protection, overtemperature protectionand the remaining charge estimation by a single-chip C language programming.And added the low-power operation functions(including power status and power-down state)for the system,effectively improved the battery operating time.The system provides a friendly PC interface,users can not only learn more about the working status of the battery pack through the PC,they can also modify various protection threshold parameters through the PC to meet different working environment.Finally,a large number of experiments show that the system has good accuracy in voltage acquisition and current collection and temperature acquisition,it also has good estimation accuracy and balance efficiency in the remaining capacity estimation and cell balancing.The system fully meets the design requirements of lithium battery design management systems for mine mobile rescue capsule.
