Diamond saw blade is a cutting tool, mainly used in urban decoration. With China’s reform and opening deepening, the rapid development of the construction industry strongly promote the decoration industry, the domestic market of diamond saw blade has become the world’s largest market, but saw the grades, varieties, application and manufacturing technology still with developed countries exist a wide gap, used in processing the circular saw blades have great development space. Therefore, it is necessary to study the working conditions of small saw blade, and the properties of the matrix, and choose the suitable material to make the matrix, and through the necessary and strict processing, to prolong the service life, reduce the consumption of steel material,improve the processing quality, reduce the cost, and it has very important significance.The manufacturing process and working conditions of diamond saw blade are summarized in this paper. The stress state of the matrix in the manufacturing and the stress in the process of the blade are analyzed by the method of mechanical test and metallographic analysis.Through the test and analysis, the cause of the impact of the small saw blade is found.According to these reasons, the correct and reasonable choice of the matrix steel materials.The work of this paper mainly includes the following parts:Firstly, the background and significance of the research, the selection of the matrix,the manufacturing process, the stress state and the possible factors that affect the matrix of the saw blade are described.Secondly, the preparation process of the specimen of small saw blade is described.Finally, the test of the analysis, small blade gap due to stress concentration and matrix steel coarse grain, surface decarburization and hydrogen permeation and other reasons, the crack. In the end, the failure of the tensile stress is the same as the direction of the running direction of the small blade. In order to avoid stress concentration, small blade should choose the keyhole shaped water tank, should be protected to prevent surface decarburization and hydrogen permeation during sintering. Matrix steel should be selected to grain coarsening, the steel can prevent decarburization and hydrogen permeation.
