AC servo system is an important part of modern industry, it is widely used in various fields such as NC machining, flexible manufacturing system, office automation equipment and robot, etc. It plays an important role in the development of modern machinery manufacturing industry. As its application area broadens, more advanced performance needs come to surface. Therefore,designing an high performance servo system integrated with good function, extensive usage, along with optimization of key algorithm and advanced control methods has a very deep meaning for the industry.This paper presents a general technical plan in which application requirements is taken into consideration seriously. In This design, DSP2812, EPM240T100C5 N type CPLD, and ATmega16 A type single chip microcomputer are the core of the alternative servo drive prototype.This paper puts particular emphasis on software development of servo drive, using the existing research achievement of laboratory, the function is improved and the software of servo drive system is redeveloped according to product requirements. After analyzing the mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronous motor and vector control, double closed loop speed regulation system control process is designed in the paper, and the function of control system is realized by interrupt service. The function and principle of control system modules are analyzed in this paper, and many programming modules are designed and achieved such as initialization module, rotor positioning module, speed module, current module, voltage module, SVPWM module, etc.Considering the expanding and generality of system, various of communication interfaces are provided in order to meet the requirement of various application occasions. It includes the RS-232 serial communication interfaces connected to man-machine interface, the pulse input/output interface connected to the CNC, and CAN bus interface. At the same time, in order to support the function of single operation of servo drive and convenience of running and debugging, the system integrated man-machine interface to provide parameter settings, common operation, real time monitoring and fault alarm function.For a higher performance metrics, rotor position initialization algorithm of permanent magnet synchronous motor is optimized in this paper, and a method of interval discrimination which combines step-by-step approximation and magnetic positioning method is put forward to achieve the accurate positioning of motor initial position. The application of fractional order controller in control system is discussed, and the digital design of fractional order controller is finished, and the experimental study are carried out, and the results support the theoretical analysis.The prototype of hardware design integrates the software developed in this paper, and then the software and hardware debugging platform is set up. The functional tests are finished on the platform, and the main performance of the relatively comprehensive system tests are also finished according to AC Servo System Common Technical Conditions of Mechanical Industry Standard of JB/T 10184-2000 and the existing test conditions of laboratory.
