In recent years, people are more concerned about the health problems and prefer to eat healthy oil from vegetables instead of animals with higher saturated fatty acid. Semen Coicis is proud of its high nutritional value and medicinal value, so the study on it gathers more and more attention. As a new type of healthy oil extracted from Semen Coicis bran, the ratio of its fatty acid fits the human body needs more perfectly and has been widely used in food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, health care products and other industries.For the extraction rate from Semen Coicis bran oil as indexes and comparing with the hexane extraction, optimize the process conditions for the supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of Semen Coicis bran oil and investigate the effect of extraction pressure, extraction temperature, extraction time, carbon dioxide flow rate on the extraction rate. The study shows that, the oil extraction rate can be 17.29%, if the extraction conditions are those followings: extracting pressure is 35 MPa, extraction temperature is 50℃, extraction time is 4.5h and carbon dioxide flow rate is 11mL/min. Under this condition GC/MS results indicate that the oil contains 16 kinds of main fatty acids and unsaturated fatty acids account for 87.40%, which determine its high nutritional value and medicinal value. By the physical-chemical properties analysis of Semen Coicis Bran oil, most of the physical-chemical index of the oil extracted by supercritical carbon dioxide method reach or better than the national standards of oil.The supercritical carbon dioxide fluid during the extraction process has better flow properties, strong dissolving capacity, good fluidity and adjustability, which ensures the maximum biological activity of nutrients in Semen Coicis bran oil and avoids the pollution of the environment. Therefore, we can see great economic prospects of supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of Semen Coicis bran oil.
