In the traditional grinding process, in order to reduce the grinding temperature, improve the surface quality of the workpiece, and prolong the service life of the grinding wheel, a large amount of grinding fluid is used. However, the use of grinding fluid not only increases the cost, but also harms the environment and the health of the workers. In view of the problems caused by grinding fluid in the grinding process, the dry green grinding technology is put forward.Dry grinding is a kind of based on the concept of green manufacturing, from the perspective of ecology and economics, a kind of modern manufacturing mode giving full consideration to the problems of environment and resource, a method being non-toxic side or very small effects on the environment and the small processing site. In this paper, the abrasive coating of the solid powder coating is a new dry grinding method.Solid powder electrostatic spraying coating for soft grinding is spraying solid powder on the surface of the grinding wheel by electrostatic spraying, on the surface of the grinding wheel forming a very thin layer of lubrication film instead of grinding fluid. The soft coating grinding wheel can not only replace the grinding fluid in the grinding area, but also improve the surface quality and prolong the service life of the grinding wheel. This technology can avoid the use of a lot of grinding fluid, which can solve the problems caused by using the grinding fluid.In this paper, the basic theory of electrostatic spraying of solid powder is studied, and design the overall structure and key parts of the powder electrostatic spraying device. The device of the key parameters of electrostatic spraying: spraying voltage, atomization pressure and powder pressure and their relationship were studied and set; coating on TC4 titanium alloy grinding experiments were simulated by using DEFORM-3D finite element software, comparing the simulation results with the experimental results, comprehensiving analysis of the experimental parameters of coating grinding TC4 titanium alloy; studying the soft coating grinding of titanium alloy TC4 of solid powder electrostatic spraying, analysising electrostatic spraying intelligent online of grinding force in grinding process of coating ratio, grinding temperature, grinding wheel adhesion wear rate and changes of surface integrity of workpiece, summarizing the lubrication characteristics of nano powder coating grinding wheel.
