With the development of the natural gas industry, Long-distance pipeline transport of natural gas, as the most economical and reliable way, has been widely applied. But this pipeline has characteristic of high pressure, and high risk. Once the accident occur it will causes huge losses to the country and people. Currently the study about pipeline leakage and risk control is not mature enough. This paper had reformulated model of pipeline leak, simulated the diffusion process, drafted the acceptable risk criteria, and proposed risk control measures. This paper provided guiding opinions for the safe operation and management of the pipeline, provided a scientific basis in order to improve the reliability of the pipeline.Experiment under conditions of different diameters, different initial stresses, and Mapping analysis using EXCEL for the following two kinds of experimental data: the same initial pressure, but different aperture; the same aperture, but different initial pressure. The Conclusion can gain after analysis; it was that the relationship was positive correlation the gas leakage rate and leakage aperture size, the initial pressure. Secondly, we can get theoretical values using the leak rate model in general. It was proved that the theoretical and experimental values had lower the degree of fit. Adding a correction factor k, then it was the new Leakage rate formulates that inverse of k multiply original formula. We can got revised theoretical values using the new leak rate model in general. It was proved that the revised theoretical values and experimental values had high fitting.Many factors affect the diffusion of natural gas pipeline leak. Experts and scholars at home and abroad have been studied on the effects of the factors in different levels. This paper had analyzed the leaking hole diameter and velocity based on FLUENT numerical simulation. Through simulating the process of natural gas pipeline leakage and diffusion, the influence law of leak and diffusion about leaking hole diameter and velocity had be gotten.In addition, the article also had studied oil and gas pipeline risk criteria domestic and foreign, and developed acceptable risk criteria which is applicable to our country. This paper also presented the risk control measures targeted. Finally in this paper, the pipeline spill emergency response was also studied. To discuss risk control measures, and help the managers and operators to maintain the pipelines economically and reliably, and improve the pipeline geological disasters protection level.
