As an auxiliary one of the important transport equipment, the articulated rubber tire vehicle has been widely used in major coal mines. Taking into account the special conditions underground tunnel. Trackless rubber tire vehicle requires frequent turning,the decisive factor in this process is steering system, so it is is very important to study the steering system.With the articulated rubber tire vehicle for the study, first hydraulic steering system works and steering loads is analyzed. And then the articulated rubber tire vehicle steering dynamics and kinematics are analyzed process.After simplification the articulated rubber tire vehicle,which is studied in this paper, is consists of several parts, such as the front, rear body, steering cylinder tires and so on. Firstly,the articulated vehicle trackless rubber tire vehicle model is established the in 3D modeling software of Pro/E, whose own assembly feature can assemble all components and define some simple constraints in the inter-agency. The model is convert to intermediate format and then import ADAMS to further define the properties of rigid body and impose reasonable restrictions and driving.By adding different drive to the dynamic model, the influence of some factors on the trackless tyred vehicle steering radius and transition process is analyzed, such as the deflection angle of the body, inside and outside the wheel ratio, steering cylinder flow, load and speed.The study result provides a theoretical reference to the design and research of mine roadway design results articulated for the trackless tyred vehicle. And the pivot turn in the process of joint position changes, and in turn to the relationship between the left and right of the telescopic oil cylinder volume are analyzed.The articulated without trackless rubber tyred vehicle steering characteristics is analyzed at last to find the factors affecting the understeer characteristics, and carry on the verification.By studying this paper to simulate the articulated rubber tire vehicle during the turning of situation, the factors affecting the turning radius is found. And the steering characteristics is analyzed too. This paper provides a theoretical basis for design and performance analysis about the articulated rubber tire vehicle steering system.
