Nowadays, the energy crisis has become increasingly predominant. Many countries are seeking for methods to save energy. On this occasion, the breakthrough of high temperature superconductivity (HTS) technology provides one of efficient approaches to solve the energy problem.In this thesis, the system is based on rotating field electrodynamic levitation (RFEL) theory. The primary winding of the HTS disc type motor needs a three phase sinusoidal current to be input. Therefore, this thesis designs a three phase variable frequency power source which uses TMS320F28335and XC3S1400as the key controller.In order to understand the performance characteristics of RFEL system clearly, this thesis first establishes the three-phase static mathematical model of the system, then after the coordinates conversation and rotor magnetic field orientation, gets the two-phase synchronous levitation mathematical model. On this basis, the thesis uses vector control as the controlling approach of the REFL system. According to the model of REFL system and the approach of vector control, the author establishes a simulation system of the REFL system using MATLAB/Simulink. The consequence of the simulation shows that the REFL system has a rapid dynamic response and a strong capacity of disturbance resistance, and also testifies the effectiveness and feasibility of vector control approach.The emphasis of this thesis is to design the source on the basis of the requirement of the controlled target. Major task are designing hardware and software of the power source. The variable frequency power source is based on AC-DC-AC topology. Hardware designing includes main circuit and controlling circuit. The controlling circuit is based on TMS320F28335and XC3S1400, and includes serial communication interface (SCI) circuit, A/D conversion circuit, power source, and power monitor/reset circuit. The software designing mainly includes coding SVPWM controlling procedure with C language using the code composer studio (CCS), A/D data processing program, and upper computer communication program. Finally author tests the whole hardware system, and receives some results.The design of the power source is modularized and digitized. The whole power system is easy to upgrade and expand, and has some practical value.
