As the problem of environmental pollution and energy shortage is highlightedincreasingly, development and utilization of new energy become the inevitable way tosolve the problem. China has rich reserves of wind energy resources; as a renewableand clean new energy, wind energy has a huge development potential. So at presentour country is actively promote the use of wind energy. The coastal hilly terrain area, where electricity supply network always is weak, has richer wind energy resourcesthan city. So at the coastal hilly terrain area, development and utilization ofindependent running wind energy system has special advantages. It not only canrelieves city electricity pressure, but also can provides electricity resources forresidents of the area where electricity supply network is weak. At the same time, thecoastal hilly area has a small population density, to some extent, this fact can avoidthe disadvantages of noise produced by large wind farms. The computational fluid dynamics software is used. This paper chooses cosinemodel for comparative study, which has good convergence. To simulate the windvelocity distribution rule of hills with ridge line well, this paper advances a new hillmodel named ellipse-like model which has a straight segment based on cosine model. Then this paper analyses wind velocity distribution rule of this two models from thetwo perspectives: different slopes and different wind angles, points out the reasonableinstallation position of wind driven generator and suitable tower heights in differentsituation, compares the wind energy using value of this two model at differentworking conditions.Air flows through the hills will change greatly, and single hill is less exist aloneactually, so the two cosine hills model should be studied. This paper established twohills model with the same slope and height, analysed the influence of distancebetween hills to the wind speed distribution rule in different wind angles, and pointedout the limit distance which the middle points of the valley influenced by distance.Fixed on the slope and height of one hill, wind speed distribution rule is analysedwhen the slope or height of adjacent hill are different, the reasonable installation position of wind driven generator and suitable tower heights in different situationwere point out. This paper systematically studies the wind velocity distribution rule of one hillmodel and two hills model at various working conditions. All the results can providereference for the generator and site selection at coastal hilly terrain where themeteorological data are not complete.
