In this paper, combined with the present situation of domestic and foreign research,highway repair layout were summarized such as type, characteristic, the constructionarea.The traffic characteristics of the repair construction area using safety ergonomics areanalyzed. According to the characteristics of road and environment, the status of vehicle,security and safety management of the construction area is analyzed. Take one highway forexample, traffic volume and traffic composition are surveyed. Results are concluded based ontraffic diversion plan and repair construction control area (warning zone, transition zone,buffer zone upstream, downstream work area, transition area, termination region) method forcalculating the length, convenient length control zone partition construction calculation. Inaddition, corresponding traffic safety management measures are put up about the constructionarea highway repair as a complete dynamic system, the person, car, road and environmentsystem.Through analyzing highway repair construction traffic safety management, the laneclosure caused by the construction of traffic congestion and the traffic pressure are alleviated.The traffic participants and traffic safety facilities of construction area are proposedcorresponding management measures. Traffic safety problem can be reduced. In addition,according to the calculation method of the construction control area length, traffic safety andconstruction work zone safety from the source can be ensured. In conclusion, it is of positivesignificance to the implementation of the safety in construction and improving constructionarea highway repair capacity and quality of service.
