In this paper, a two-step coaxial cycloidal precisedriver is proposed, using fixedaxis input, double crank transmission, double loop bearing, heterogeneous distribution.It has manyadvantages such as small volume, high transmission ratio, large capacity,power dividing, high efficiency, coaxial output, easy manufacturability, hightransmission accuracy.Compared with ring-reducers, it runs more smoothly and has lowvibration and noise. Compared with traditional cycloidal pinwheel transmission,it hasno specialized output device and the structure is simpler. Compared with RVtransmission, it has no ultra-thin main bearingwith good manufacturability and lowmanufacturing cost. Therefore, it has important theoretical significance and practicalvalue to study the transmission principle, construction form, power flow,transmissionefficiency, transmission accuracy,teeth profile modification theory, carrying capacityand dynamic characteristic of the reducer.The main contents are as following:①A two-step coaxial doublecrank cycloidal planetary transmission is proposedwhich is consisted of an involute transmission and a cycloidal pinwheel transmission.The structural feature and transmission principle are analysied, a three-dimensionalsolid model is established. Moreover, the virtual assembly, interference checking, andmotion simulation are finished using the software of Pro/E.②Thetransmission characteristicsincluding transmission ratio, power flow,transmission efficiency,transmission accuracy of the two-step coaxial cycloidalprecision transmission is studied.③The teeth profile modification theory is studied. A new modificationalgorithmwhich is suitable for precision transmission is proposed,at the same time,anew dynamic modification algorithmwhich is besed on geometry and elasticdeformation coupling is also studied.The applied occasion of various modificationmethods is founded.④The carrying capacity of the transmission is analysied including force analysisand strength check of main components.Contact stress analysis of two stage gear pairsis carried out usingthe software of Abaqus.⑤A multi-rigid-body dynamics simulation system is founded using the softwareofADAMS.The dynamic meshing force of cycloidal gear and vibration property of main components are analyzed.⑥Transmission efficiency test are carried out in the gear drive test bed,whichverifies the feasibility of the transmission scheme in technology.
