Research Of The Evaluation Of Workshop Facilities Layout Plans Based On Grey TOPSIS For Multi-variety And Small-batch Production

The scientific and rational evaluation of the workshop facilities layout can help toidentify problems and deficiencies existing in facility layout program, and play animportant role in guidelines to improve the program. Analysis on the status of facilitieslayout for multi-varieties and small-batch job shop found that the current research hassome limitations on evaluation, evaluation system and evaluation method three aspects.This paper proposes to build an evaluation system and a model of facility layout formulti-varieties and small-batch job shop using gray correlation and TOPSIS method,which is Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution, in order toimprove the imperfect situation of theoretical study on facilities layout formulti-varieties and small-batch job shop, thus improving the reliability of evaluationresults of the facilities layout program.The main contents are as follows:Firstly, describe the background, and analyze the present situation in domestic andoversea on evaluation of facilities layout, and propose the main content and the contentstructure of this paper. According to the connotation of facility layout the workshop oftaking multi-variety and small-batch production, the overall solution is proposed fromfour sections including research thinking and technical route, process model, keyproblems and research framework.Secondly, construct the evaluation index system of the facility layout formulti-varieties and small-batch job shop. Extract the key factors，select evaluation index,and design evaluation index system on the basis of the analysis influencing factors offacilities layout for multi-varieties and small-batch job shop. And delete the redundantindex based on rough set theory.Thirdly, build the evaluation model of the facility layout for multi-varieties andsmall-batch production workshop. Determine the index weights from using graycorrelation method, diagnosis the existing problems and deficiencies of the graycorrelation and TOPSIS, build the evaluation model of the facilities layout formulti-varieties and small-batch production workshop from using the strategy ofcombining the gray and TOPSIS method.Finally, the evaluation system and evaluation model is applied to a facilities layout project in D company. The application example was given to validate the feasibility andeffectiveness of the evaluation system.
