Research On Waterfront Landscape In The Traditional Villages Under The Background Of Rural Tourismtaking Thewest Sichuan Plain As The Study Site

In recent years, the rural tourism is flourishing,people’s living standards arecontinuously improving and also the awareness of leisure. All these changes make thetraditional village with natural scenery become the important destination for people torelax. The occurrence and development of traditional village has a close relationshipwith water. Against the background that the rural tourism is developing rapidly, the roleof water in the traditional village is turning from bearing life in production activities toproviding leisure and recreational activities for people.With the gradual advance oftraditional village tourism development, waterfront landscape become an importantmedium for shaping its rustic image features to attract the majority of tourists. In thispaper, taking the West Sichuan Plain for example, based on the original features andtourism development of traditional rural waterfront landscape of the impact andinfluence, the use of environmental behavior, environmental psychology, landscapeecology, outer space design and other related theories, explore villages rationalization ofthe traditional village waterfront landscape under the tourism context, humane,scientific design.This paper is divided into six parts.Chapter1is mainly about the overview of rural tourism booming and importantrelationship between the traditional villages and the water, this leads to the currentdilemma faced by traditional village waterfront landscape, which made centralproposition of this paper discusses the traditional village waterfront landscape designstudies the necessity and significance.Chapter2provides an overview of the studying subject in three aspects that is thehistory and trends of development of rural tourism, the specific relationship between theriver and the traditional villages and the traditional problems of rural waterfrontlandscape, with examples summarized the waterfront landscape style, waterfront spaceand the ecological environment of the main problems and contradictions.Chapter3focuses on the characteristics of the West Sichuan Plain TraditionalVillage waterfront landscape analysis. Constituent elements and morphology from WestSichuan Plain natural environment, cultural background, waterfront landscape start,summed up the West Sichuan Plain Traditional Village waterfront landscape of severalkey features: rich waterfront interface, hydrophilic waterfront space, flexible forms of waterfront activities.Chapter4combines the traditional village tourism development after theinvestigation, a detailed analysis of rural tourism impact and influence on the traditionalvillage waterfront landscape. The main features and characteristics including villages,affecting the ecological environment and changes in the environment caused bywaterfront activities and their behavior patterns.Chapter5is the case study part,the author takes three ancient town in the WestSichuan Plain as examples, that is Huang Longxi Ancient Town, PingleAncient Townand Xilai Ancient Town, analysis the cases based on the summarize of the previous twochapters.Based on the previous chapters, Chapter6is mainly comprised of design principlesand methods of waterfront landscape in traditional villages under the background ofrural tourism.Chapter7is the conclusion of the research.From the perspective of rural tourism, a detailed analysis in this context oftraditional rural waterfront landscape changes and the impact of, and visitors to thewaterfront closely the relationship between landscape, through case studies, explore andmaintain the local characteristics to meet the needs of two tourist pathways werebalanced, and strive to provide ideas and methods to solve the traditional villagewaterfront landscape existing problems.
