At present, MIL-STD-1553B bus, referred to as1553B bus, with distributed processing,centralized control, real-time response and fault tolerance features, is widely used in various types ofmeasurement and control systems, including avionics systems. Currently, the research, related to1553B communication interface module design with BU-61580as1553B bus communicationprotocol interface chip, has been one of the hot topics studied by many scholars. However, the currentsituation of domestic research mostly conducted around the import and imitation of foreign boards.Both of the design of1553B bus communication interface module with the C8051F040MCU as thecontroller and with BU-61580as1553B bus communication protocol interface chip, and the studies in1553B bus communication process under different communication transmission mode and workingprinciple of the protocol chip BU-61580has been little reported, therefore, the topic selection of thesishas strong purpose and good practical value.On the basis of the systematic explanation of MCU C8051F040, BU-61580and Keil C software,the design scheme of1553B bus communication interface module is given, and is designed anddeveloped respectively from two aspects of hardware and software. Hardware can be furthurclassified into C8051F040MCU minimum system design, BU-61580and transformer interface circuitdesign, data storage circuit design, the touch screen interface circuit design and level conversioncircuit design. And software can be divided into PC software development and lower machinesoftware design. In PC software development, by using GE versatile board own API functions, wehave to develop1553B bus communication software that can simulate Bus Controller (BC), RemoteTerminal (RT), and Bus Monitor (BM) based on VC6.0. In lower machine software design, we have todevelop the configuration process of the module as BC, RT and BM, data storage operations(including page read, page write and block erase) as well as the touch-screen display. On this basis,we will use the module as BC, RT and BM. For five kinds of transmission method of BCâ†'RT, BC←RT, RT RT, broadcast and mode instruction, we have to verify its function by using the developedsoftware for the PC bus communication.The results of experiments show that the hardware design and software development of themodule is highly reliable for the1553B bus communication. The research work in this thesis doesgreat help systematically mastering the1553B bus communication process and the operate principleof protocolling chip BU-61580in different communication transmission modes. Then it realizes theminiaturization and portabilitation of the1553B bus communication module and lays the foundationfor the subsequently design of1553B bus communication practical system based on BU-61580andset up the sequential circuits in the FPGA work as the chip BU-61580.
