Construction machinery cab is an important part of construction machinery, especiallyconstruction machinery wrking in tough environment, so it’s particularly important to user-friendlydesign cab.The paper applies ergonomics theory to study and design construction machinery cab’s comfortand safety and applies multi-level fuzzy theory to assess the results of the design.The main study for the paper as follows:1. The paper describes the construction machinery cab classification and composition, analysisthe design features and design principles of the cab’s constitute parts, draws the design process ofconstruction machinery cab based on the above analysis.2. The paper chooses the drilling machine as an example of machinery engineering, designs itscab’s skeleton structure, and completes skeleton design and safety check using ANSYS finite elementsimulation based on FOPS/ROPS theory.3. Based on safety design, the paper completes comfort design, and the paper completes cab cabin,seats and other components for layout and verification applying ergonomics which includes sittingjobs, horizons, user-centric, psychology knowledge and so on. And appliy passive vibration isolation,passive noise reduction methods to cab to make cab meet the physiological comfort requirements.4. The paper applies multi-level method and fuzzy theory to assess the results of comfort and toprove the superiority of design results through the data.This paper combine structural design knowledge, security design theory, user-centered ergonomictheory, psychology, noise damping knowledge to design the rock drill cab which is as therepresentative of construction machinery cab, to make some useful attempts about constructionengineering humanized design.
