Application Research On Design And Construction Of Deck Pavement On Steel Bridge For The Grand Canal Bridge On Changzhou West Beltway

With the development of economy, steel bridge which owns the advantages of light in weight,good-looking, high efficiency in construction and low-carbon environmental protection is more widelyused in highway bridges in recent years, but its pavement diseases has always been difficult to controleffectively. In order to solve the problems of steel bridge deck pavement disease, this paper, with theexample of Jing hang Canal Extra Large Bridge on Changzhou West Beltway, described the structure typeselection of the steel deck pavement, the proportion design of epoxy asphalt mixture with materialrequirements, the construction process of epoxy asphalt pavement and the construction points so as to offerthe basic research and reference for the steel bridge pavement application in China.Firstly, this paper investigated a domestic type of steel bridge pavement and analyzed the structuralcharacteristics of various types of the steel bridge pavement. On this basis, associated with the features anduse conditions of Jing hang Canal Extra Large Bridge on Changzhou West Beltway, this paper proposedthe pavement structure of steel bridge.Secondly, combined with the characteristics of Jing hang Canal Extra Large Bridge on Changzhou WestBeltway and the local climatic conditions, this paper made systematic research on epoxy asphalt mixdesign and various characteristics of the epoxy asphalt mixture performance, it also proposed gradationarrangement of aggregate, the optimum amount of asphalt mixture, the curing temperature and curing timeof mixture, etc.Thirdly, the construction preparation, machinery combinations and control points of engineering qualityare systematic studied associated with the pavement projection of Jing hang Canal Extra Large Bridge onChangzhou West Beltway. Besides, it proposed reasonable suggestions on various aspects like constructionprocess of epoxy asphalt concrete pavement and technical requirements so as to provide reference for thepromotion of the application of epoxy asphalt concrete in steel deck pavement in the future.
