Study On The Development Strategy Of Han Nan Province’s Public Transportation Priority

In recent years, along with the process of urbanization and motorization, the increasinglyserious problem of urban traffic congestion and environmental pollution caused by vehicleemissions seriously affected the urban development and the improvement of people’s livingstandards. It has proved that the priority development of urban public transport is animportant method to solve urban traffic problems after years of practice in many countries.However, it needs further study for the priority development of urban public transportaccording to the actual situation and local conditions of Hainan.Firstly,it provides a theoretical basis for this article by analyzing the connotation andrelated concepts of " public transportation priority " based on research achievements fromoutstanding domestic and foreign scholars. And it puts forward the necessity of " publictransportation priority " through the analysis of the drawbacks of public transport which islagging. Secondly, it lays the foundation for countermeasures of Hainan’s bus prioritydevelopment by analyzing the urban public transportation development models at home andabroad and summing up the good experiences. On this basis of first-hand empirical datathrough the methods of field investigation, it studies the current situation of Hainan’sdevelopment from six aspects, such as system, policy support,and points out the seven majorproblems existing in the current public transportation development of Hainan province.Finally, combining domestic and foreign excellent experience and the actual situation ofHainan province, it systematically puts forward a series of countermeasures includingbuilding transportation infrastructure by government, optimizing routes and time, improvingthe service quality and service level, promoting"green travel" consciousness, choosing publictransport from the aspects of government to promote implementation of " publictransportation priority " development strategy, and earnestly solve the city traffic congestionproblem of Hainan province.
