Many problems exist in double horizontal shaft mixer, for instance the concrete adhereto the centre axis easily, low efficient zone of mixing, the motion of material not smooth. Inorder to solve these problems, the new double helix shaft mixer base on the double screwshaft mixer, which reject middle mixing arm, retain stirring arm on both sides, with two halfaxis instead of stirring shaft and add intermediate connecting piece, because of use thespecial “no shaft” structure, double helix shaft mixer has many advantages, such as theconcrete will not adhere to the centre, the volume of concrete material volume increase, themotion of concrete material more smooth.Based on the experimental prototype of double helix shaft mixer, this paper studies theimpact of three different mixing technology including a feeding method、the first mixedwith cement mortar method and sand enveloped with cement method on the performance ofconcrete when double helix shaft mixer churns C60high-strength concrete; determinesbetter parameters under different mixing technology based on the theoretical analysis andexperimental research and obtains the better mixing technology through comparativeanalysis. The result shows that, comparing with the other two mixing processes, the firstmixed with cement mortar method can effectively improve the structure of the transitionarea of the concrete interface, enhance the strength and uniformity of concrete, and in themeantime reduce the mixing time, cut down energy consumption and raise productivitywhen mixing C60high strength concrete.In order to further confirm the feasibility and mixing quality of double helix shaftmixer churning C60high-strength concrete. Finally through contrast test compare,following conclusion are obtained:Under three different mixing technology, double helixshaft mixer churning C60high-strength concrete has lower air content of concrete; Using afeeding method and the first mixed with cement mortar method, the concrete uniformityindex of the double helix shaft mixer are better, and the process of concrete mixing is moreenergy-saving and high efficiency; When using sand enveloped with cement method, themixing quality of double horizontal shaft mixer with holes on leaf blade is about the same as double helix shaft mixer. Considering the actual production conditions, we recommendthe use of double helix shaft mixer to churn C60high-strength concrete with the first mixedwith cement mortar method.
