Double horizontal shaft mixer is widely used in engineering practice due to its high mixing efficiency and reliability.With the increase of concrete engineering year by year,its market share in mixing is also expanding.In the whole stirring process,the stirring device plays a major role,its structure parameters and motion parameters determine the material’s movement speed and rule,and the reasonable selection of each parameter is of great significance to the improvement of material stirring quality.In this paper,from the perspective of "structure combining process",through the organic combination of structure optimization and mixing process,the influence of mixing device structure and mixing process on material mixing uniformity was discussed,which laid a theoretical foundation for the design and update of related mixing equipment.On the basis of previous studies,the optimal length-width ratio,length-diameter ratio and center distance of the mixing shaft were obtained by taking the minimum surface area of the mixing cylinder as the objective function optimization,and the model of the double-horizontal shaft mixer with the volume of 100 L was established.A new type of mixing device,"single arm-double blade structure",was innovatively put forward.The static analysis,fatigue analysis and strength analysis were made by using ANSYS Workbench finite element simulation software,so as to ensure the adaptability and reliability of the mixing device structure.In the simulation environment of the common stirring device and the new stirring device,this paper used EDEM discrete element simulation software to simulate the mixing process of the mixture respectively,and concluded that: compared with the common stirring device,the new stirring device can stir the material more fully and achieve better stirring effect.Finally,using the same method,discrete element simulation respectively simulated a feeding mixing process and the second feeding mixing process(method of cement mortar and concrete method of coated sand)under the movement of material in the new device,the velocity distribution characteristics of mixture components,put forward according to the contact between particles number material mixing quality evaluation index,summed up the material components in the mixing process of discrete coefficient variation law.Generally speaking,the organic combination of structure and process provides a new way of thinkingfor the theoretical research and renewal of double horizontal shaft mixer.
