Baotou Tongxin Chuangye building is a frame shear structure. For some reasons, theoriginal structure need to reconstruct, the top of the stairs repair need to expand intoa whole layer. Due to the structure of top quality increase, seismic action of structures isbound to increase, in order to reduce the displacement response of the structure, the slidingroof friction control system applied to the structure. Sliding roof friction TMD systemrelative to the control system of traditional TMD has on their structure parameters andseismic strong robustness and ease control the design parameters. The concrete structure isarranged in the sliding layer between the roof and bottom structure, and the roof and thelower structure is connected with the spring plate, through the mutual friction betweenthe contact and the lower surface of roof structure to reduce the seismic response ofstructure.This paper first introduces the sliding roof friction damping character of shockabsorption and the parameters of control system. Using the independent associationalgorithm program of the sliding roof friction to calculate the optimal design parametersof control system to get the optimum stiffness value. Secondly, combined withthe described of sliding roof friction system theory, use the structure analysis software ofSAP2000to play the nonlinear dynamic time history analysis of structure modelunder different excitation, further to determine the damping effect. Finally, the designparameters by using the different control system, analysis the damping effect of controlsystem in this case, verify that the control system is robust. The model input sweepwave, comparative analysis of effect of control system on the floor displacement angle offloors and floor side shift.Through the comparison of the analysis results, we can see the sliding roof frictioncontrol system has a damping effect in simple harmonic wave, numerical wave and sweepfrequency wave. The control system can control structure effective acceleration, inter storydisplacement angle and lateral deformation. Sweep frequency can be regarded as whitenoise, the response of the structure under the action of the sweep frequency wave isuniversal, many conclusions of this paper can be concluded from the calculation results sweep wave in. In general, if the parameters is appropriate, the sliding roof friction can play a goodeffect on control system, can effectively reduce the structural seismic response.
