With the rapid development of China’s space technology and lunar explorationproject, the spacecraft performance often determines whether or not the lunarexploration project can continue to work smoothly. We should test the key elementon the spacecraft before the spacecraft go into outer space to make sure they canmeet the technical specifications and requirements. This requires lots of dynamictest equipments, test systems to simulate micro-gravity environment in space.Pneumatic force balance system is an important method that can simulatesmicro-gravity environment, so it is of great significance to study the pneumaticforce balance system.First of all, a pneumatic pressure relief valve of the pneumatic force balancesystem is established by the methods of mathematical modeling and simulationanalysis. Then static/dynamic characteristics of the pressure relief valve areanalyzed by the methods of simulation analysis and experimental researchcombined. In the process of inflation and deflation of the valve, the outlet pressureresponse and the spool displacement response are analyzed.Secondly, the theoretical modeling and simulation analysis have carried on forthe key component of the pneumatic force balance system. Then the simulationmodel of the pneumatic force balance system based on low friction cylinders isestablished. The characteristic analysis is conducted based on the simulation model.The influence of the tank volume, pipe length, the air inlet diameter of the cylinderon the force balance system are analyzed by methods of linear analysis in order toget the system optimization design of structural parameters in the simulation level.Thirdly, the simulation analysis of the pneumatic force balance system basedon low friction cylinders is established. Then the static balance and dynamicbalance performance characteristics of the system are analyzed. The influence of thedriving speed and different load mass on system additional stress is analyzed. Thetank volume’s influence on the relation between system additional force and thedriving speed is analyzed in order to give the experiment some guide advice.At last, experimental research is conducted on the pneumatic force balancesystem based on low friction cylinders. Different driving speeds’ influence on the system additional force are analyzed with the tank using three different volume. Acomparison between the experiment and simulation analysis, it proves thefeasibility and validity of the system scheme.
