With the development of our manufacturing, the product processing makeshigher demand on CNC system. As the core of the CNC system. The high cost offoreign motion controller restricts the development of CNC system in our country,so it has a profound historical significance to develop the motion controller of lowcost with independent intellectual property rights.Openness, modularization, high precision and high speed is the maindevelopment trend of the motion controller. In the traditional CNC system, motioncontrol system consists of motion controller and servo driver. As the core of motioncontroller, microprocessor controls servo driver. The dedicated servo driver restrictsopenness of motion control system; the microprocessor architecture determines thatthe motion controller can only complete a single real-time task. Thus the motioncontroller based on microprocessor is hard to meet the requirements ofmodularization development.Based on compiled-typed CNC system, puts forward a new generation ofFPGA-based motion controller. And the traditional modes of CNC system whichusing motion controller to control servo driver will be broken. The motion controllerintegration traditional motion controller and servo driver, complete datacommunication, two-axis motion control and servo drive. The modularization ofmotion control system will promote the openness of control system and reduce thecost of motion control system.First, this paper makes an overall design of FPGA-based motion controller. Thethesis researches the mathematical model, control strategy and driven algorithm ofPMSM, and completes the rational design of control system. The MATLAB modelis set up and the simulation analysis is carried out. Second, design and build thehardware system of the motion controller. Third, by analyzing and designing themotion controller software functional requirements, the paper completes thealgorithm of mass data storage, the digital design for motion control algorithm anddriven algorithm FPGA-based. The research sets up a platform for motion controllersoftware. Last, makes an experimental study on the motion controller to verify itsdata communication, motion control, and motor driver control ability.Through experimental study of motion controller, completed the feasibility ofmotion controller based on FPGA, the motion controller integration of traditionalmotion controller and servo driver can realize two-axis drive and linkage control,and mass data for reading and writing. At last, proposed the next research work.
