Research On Model Of Traffic Violations’ Tendency In Automated Enforcement

In recent years, the severity of accidents have been increasing in China, whichcause enormous property losses and life threat to people, and bring a lot of impact onthe daily lives. Studies have shown that the implementation and popularization ofautomated enforcement is a major factor which increased the severity of accidents,though it has decreased the frequency of traffic violations to some extent. so how tocontrol the spread of this phenomenon and how to make road traffic environment moresmooth and safe, is a difficult problem to be solved. Currently research on automatedenforcement is little and lack of depth, let alone research on traffic violations inautomated enforcement. And most is at the stage of qualitative but not quantitativedescription, which goes against solving the problem efficiently and safe running oftraffic system.This paper first define antomated enforcement and traffic violations to clear itsscope, and investigate the influence factors’ variables of traffic violations by thequestionnaire, then organize the data and analyze the quality of the questionnaire tosupport the following research.Analyzing the characteristics and influence factors of traffic violations on the baseof the data, which can explain the reason of traffic violations deeply. At the same time,using the factor analysis method to analyze the correlation of variables, with the aid ofcommon factors to express those variables which have high correlation, and the methodreduces the dimension of calculation and lays the foundation of the following research.Considering the difference of various factors on traffic violations, each factor wastested by the chi-square test to analyze the significance between each factor and trafficviolations, and those non-significance was got rid of, then using those remains toestablish the Logit model of traffic violations’ tendency, also calibrating parameters andverifying its rationality by applying likelihood ratio、goodness of fit and accuracy.From the analysis of each factor’s influence on traffic violations’ tendency,examine the accuracy of the model after deleting each factor and using the expression toanalyze the reason for it, clear the degree and direction of each factor’ influence onautomated enforcements. At last, make appropriate measures of improvement in theview of those high influence variables, which can reduce traffic violations effectivelyand create a good traffic environment to ensure the safety of people’s travel.
