Power industry is one of the main industries of China’s energy consumption.Distribution network’s line loss rate of China has a certain gap with that of developedcountries, so reducing distribution network loss effectively has far-reaching significanceon power system energy loss reduction. Currently, distribution network loss reducingresearch has two aspects of problems. First, distribution network loss management justcontains two parts of function which are line loss rate calculation and simple lossstatistics. So it is unable to get the important factors affecting the distribution networkloss from the existing line loss management and loss analysis, which bring about certainblindness in loss reducing work and little guidance in selection and implementation ofloss reducing measures. Second, most distribution network loss reducing research is forone aspect of the distribution network’s loss weaknesses and studies single lossreducing measure’s optimizing implementation plans. However, in actual distributionnetwork loss reducing process, it is important to consider cases which implement avariety of loss reducing measures, and because of investment cost limit and optimalefficiency requirement of comprehensive loss reducing measures, it can’t effectively getthe distribution network loss reducing scheme based on multi-reducing measures fromthe previous loss reducing researches. To solve the above problems, the paper studiesloss analyzing method and loss reducing technology choosing method in MV/LVdistribution network, and main contents are as follows.By studying the calculation principle of technical loss in distribution network, thepaper presents a collection of distribution network loss factors from a large number ofgrid parameters based on the principle that parameters affecting technical loss ofdistribution network’s main equipment can affect technical loss of distribution network.And paper obtains influence of loss factors on the distribution network loss byestablishing a radial simulation distribution network. Based on the proposed factorsaffecting network loss, the paper studies principles and implementing methods of lossreducing measures related to factors. These measures can reduce distribution network’sloss by improving the corresponding loss-affecting factors.Aiming at the problem that recent distribution network researches are short ofanalysis on main factors affecting distribution network loss, this paper gets the basicinformation of loss analysis by using manual statistics data and SCADA/EMS data based on distribution network loss affecting factors. This paper applies data fillingmethod and dad data identificating and adjusting method to enhance accuracy of thebasic information. In order to handle uncertainty during the operation of distributionnetwork operation, the paper applies multi-scene technology to build distributionnetwork scenes and analysis scenes used for loss analysis. Further more, the paperbuilds distribution network loss index system, and applies gray correlation analysismethod to calculate correlation and contribution indexes in analysis scenes. By usingthese means, it’s workable to determine impact on the distribution network line loss ratewhich was generated by factors affecting distribution network loss, and determine themain distribution network loss affecting factors in current distribution network.Aiming at the existing problem that current distribution network loss reducingresearches mostly focus on one aspect of optimization and it is unable to make lossreducing optimization decision among several problems on the current distributionnetwork, the paper studies MV/LV distribution network optimization model and methodbased on combination of multiple loss reducing measures. Based on the existingoptimization algorithms and artificial experience for loss reducing, according to thedifferent types of loss reducing measures and implementing plans, the paper constructsalternative loss reducing schemes for optimal decision making. And paper establishesthe decision objective function which can reflect the comprehensive benefit of lossreduction combined with the life cycle theory through multi-objective evaluationresearch on the benefits of electricity consumption. Also the paper establishes thedecision-making constraints on the reliability, safety and investment restrictions, aimingat the problem that recent loss reducing optimization regards the lowest constructioncost as the optimizing target without considering actual investment limits. The proposeddecision-making method can select distribution network loss reduction measures whiletaking multiple planning objectives into account: meeting the operating constraints andoptimizing plan’s benefits, so that the final decision has the best overall efficiency.
