With the development of power electronic technology, AC-DC power converter iswidely used in computer power communication, power supply, energy-saving lamps,LED lighting, household appliances, motor drive inverters, uninterruptible power supply,industrial power supply, etc, which produces the harmonic pollution and low powerfactor is becoming more and more serious. In order to solve the problem, PFC is aneffective method. With the increase of the power rating, the traditional single-phaseBoost PFC is limited by power device selection, volume, cost and efficiency, whichcannot meet the requirements of the high power applications. By using interleavedtechnology in Boost PFC, the input current ripple can be effectively decreased, thecurrent stress of switches can be decreased, and the power density and efficiency of thepower converter can be improved. This converter is suitable for high power applications.This article will mainly study the interleaved Boost PFC converter.Firstly, this paper gives an introduction of the background of the power factorcorrection technology and expounds the classification, topology and development statusof the power factor correction topology. Then this paper makes a detailed analysis of thecharacteristics and comparison of control strategy of the interleaved Boost PFCconverter in Continuous-Conduction-Mode (CCM).Based on the limit of application and the advantage of average current control,adopt the double loop closed control, introduce its working principle in detail andconstruct the simulation circuit by current synthesis technology. Simulation result showsthat the input current ripple is decreased effectively and the power factor is enhanced,meanwhile the feasibility of current synthesis technology is verified.Finally, based on the UCC28070interleaved PFC control chip of TI, this papergives the detailed parameter design of the main circuit and control circuit, and builds aninterleaved Boost PFC experimental circuit. Taken the step-by-step strategy, the workwaveforms of converter were obtained during experimental process. The experimentalresults show that the interleaved circuit has a good current ripple inhibition, has a goodpower factor correction effect, and verify the validity of theoretical analysis.
