The concept of "passive" architecture originated in Germany. That is a intervention refers tothe mechanical and electrical equipment through enhancing building its heat preservation andheat insulation measures. In order to improve the ability adapt to the local climate and naturalenvironment of buildings. It is an energy saving technology to realize building energyconsumption reduced. The perfect project performance and investment return ratio had tomake the "passive" building technology gained more and more attention in the field ofbuilding energy conservation. Urumqi is in the northwest frontier of the motherland with thekey period of urbanization, the construction energy conservation work form. Study thedevelopment and application of building energy efficiency technology in Urumqi area, to thedevelopment of building energy conservation work in Urumqi region play a positive role inpromoting.In this paper, by introducing the development and related engineering practice of energysaving technology in Germany, to analysis the feasibility and rationality of the technology.And combining the analysis of ecological residential buildings and Urumqi in Xinjiang areapart causes the development history of historical architecture and building research.Elaborated the "passive building" technology idea that build thought universal existence inXinjiang region and its historical origin. Theory is the history of the technique in Urumqiregion to carry out the theory basis. At the same time with the aid of software simulation,analysis of herdsmen in Turpan area housing projects in energy consumption and thetheoretical data on solar radiation, demonstrate the rationality of the traditional dwellingsclass building "passive" technology, in an attempt to the design of the current herdsmenhousing design to make the necessary adjustment and improvement.Then, the paper showed the Urumqi Low-energy buildings power innovation of agriculturalscience and technology demonstration garden as an engineering example, and selection ofresidence buildings in Urumqi, set up a software model to compare the simulation construction practice and using the current energy saving measures in the use of Urumqi"passive" energy-saving technical measures after indoor environment comfort and energyconsumption change. Comprehensive analysis and argumentationof the German standard "passive building" energy saving technology system and can not befully applicable to the Urumqi area of the conclusions, provide some theoretical reference forthe development of building energy efficiency in Urumqi and "passive building" technology.
