This topic originates from the sub-topic of the national "twelfth five-year" scienceand technology plan project of rural areas called the key technology of intensivelyconstructing and demonstrating the urban and rural area in Chengdu and Chongqing(Project number:2013BAJ11B00),which researches the updating and reusing of themountain traditional residence culture space, optimizing and demonstrating the keytechnology of the physical environment(Project number:2013BAJ11B04).Rural construction is a major strategic task of modernization construction in ourcountry, is one of the most important aspects of realizing the development of the urbanand rural areas, and the goal of comprehensively constructing a well-off society.In solving land restriction in rural development, improving the rural environment andpromoting the development of urban and rural areas, it has been raised a threeconcentrations developing model, which is concentrating the industries into a industrialpark, concentrating the farmers into a planning settlements, concentrating thedispersive land scales into a whole scale. In the terms of renovating and protecting the alarge number of traditional residential,the ministry of transformation has put forwardthat In2013,it is a focus to renovating the dilapidated house in rural area,so theprotection and modification is imperative for the traditional local-style dwelling houses.The researching target of this paper is to improve traditional dwellings,daylightenvironment in Chongqing. After combing the traditional daylight theory and conceptsof buildings, summarizing the outstanding traditional daylight technology, this paperhas found that in traditional local-style dwelling houses, the problem of lack of lightingand poor lighting uniformity is existing extensively, whether it is on single interface oron multiple interfaces. Aiming at these problems, the author has done a lot of researchin Zhongshan town of Jiangjin district,Anju town of Tongliang county,Longxing townof Yubei district. After literature researching, questionnaire surveying and fieldmeasuring, it has been confirmed that such natural daylight problems above do exist inthe traditional local-style dwelling houses. Basing on the interface differences ofdaylight in the traditional local-style dwelling houses, this paper has put forward somedaylight technology strategy, specially for single interface and multiple interfaces.it hasset Ronglu manor in Zhongshan town as an example,to optimize its daylightenvironment. After doing some transform on this Real-life case, the rationalization of daylight technology strategy has been confirmed, and the quality of daylight finallymeet the national standards, which has helped to improve the indoor daylightenvironment of traditional residence, and improve the residents’ life quality. Ultimately,what this paper has done will provide some reference and suggestions on optimizing thedaylight environment of traditional dwellings in Chongqing.The full text is divided into six chapters:The first chapter: Introduction. This part has generally states the background,significance, purpose, research scope,contents and methods of this paper.The second chapter: Generalizing and summarizing the daylight technology fromtwo aspects of theory and technology, in the traditional local-style dwelling houses inChongqing area. This part has analyzed the influence of the region climate inChongqing, settlement planning, light environment on daylight, then put forward thedaylight environment evaluation standard, studied the architectural details ofdaylighting, finally found the daylight problems in the traditional local-style dwellinghouses.The third chapter: According to these problems founded in previous studies, Afield investigation and measure has been done to confirm its authenticity in thetraditional local-style dwelling houses. And then analyzes the reasons of the existenceof these problems.The fourth chapter: proposing the strategies to optimize the daylight environment.In order to solve the problems found in theoretical and practical research, optimizationstrategy is proposed. And relying on the interface type, it has divided into two types ofsingle interface and multiple interface, and eventually, a table of the optimizingtechnology strategy integration for the traditional dwellings daylight environment hasbeen set up.The fifth chapter: Proposing the strategies to optimizing the daylighting of theRongLu manor, and then comprehensivly evaluating it. According to the optimizingstrategies on daylight tabled in chapter four, this part has optimized the daylight forRonglu, and has selected some representative nodes to do detail design. Afteroptimizing,a evaluation is followed, and basis the evaluation,to conform the effectivityof the optimizion on daylight of the RongLu manor.Chapter6: Conclusion. This part has summarized the optimizing daylighttechniques of the Traditional dwellings in Chongqing area.
