Urban spatial form is in a particular environment and a certain stage of economicdevelopment, social geography, the combined result of human activities and naturalinteraction between environmental factors, is a comprehensive characterization of urbansociety, economy, culture, and through this characterization to grasp the essence ofurban development. In this paper, the study of spatial form to the UK mountainous city,hoping to provide a useful reference for the planning and construction of the mountaincity, making the final completion of comprehensive social and economic development,ecological sustainability, with a mountainous region featuring healthy city.The paper is divided into fiver parts:The first part of the first chapter. In addition to description of the background andpurpose of this study, meaning, method and content, but also for research related tourban spatial form of review and outlook at home and abroad, to determine themeaning of the relevant concepts, and related theory briefly. As chapter foothold and itstheoretical background.The second part is the second chapter. This chapter provides a brief summary ofthe terms of geographic, economic, social, as well as a brief history of the BritishMountain urban development and other British cities, as an example chapterbackground.The third part is the third, fourth, fifth and sixth chapters, is the focus of thisarticle. Author of historical British mountainous areas of urban development as the basisfor the evolution of morphological characteristics of urban space oriented to time cues,respectively, from ancient times (the ancient times, the Middle Ages), Modern andContemporary British mountain stage of the four space-time special under conditions ofthe city’s geographical location, morphology evolution of the landscape features andsummarized.
