The wind-solar hybrid power supply system was mainly studied in this paper, which combines the widely used renewable energy currently (wind energy and solarenergy) and is a feasible, economical and green way to generate electricity. Theproblems of independent grid power supply in relatively remote areas can be solvedby this system, and this system is also the focus and hot content in the micro gridsystem research. The main components and structure of the wind-solar hybrid powersupply system were introduced in this paper, some aspects such as the compositionand structure of the solar power system and wind power generation system, theworking principle and characteristics of the two systems, the tracking principle of theeach two systems’ maximum power tracking point and the power control strategywere separately introduced. Then, the two systems’ control technologies wereconcluded and its subsystems were classified and summarized. We realized thecomparison and classification for methods through analyzing the two systems’ controlprinciple in the practical work, which provides a reliable reference for the next stageof the work in this article. The wind power system and solar power system do have their owndisadvantages and limitations when operate independently, thus a simulation model ofthe maximum power tracking point in wind-solar power generation system wasestablished for research. According to the simulation results, the maximum powercontrol technology can realize the maximum power tracking for wind-solar powergeneration system. The system’s correctness and control strategy’s feasibility can beverified by the simulation results.
