| With the increase of car ownership in China, auto safety is more and more valued by people,especially its braking performance. The brake performance testing equipment plays an important rolein the car testing because people’s lives are majorly determined by the brake performance ofautomobile. At present, counter-force brake test system is used in the majority of vehicle testingstations, however, when braking performance test used by counter-force brake tester, its results maydiffer with the actual braking effects of cars and not be accurate, so this paper research a plat braketester that is closer to the fact, the device can simulate the driving state of the automobile, which hasrealized the accurate detection of automobile braking performance.The project firstly analyzed the differences between several kinds of automobile brakingperformance test equipments, and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the plat brake tester.Then, the test system of the plat brake tester is designed based on its detection principle. The system isdivided into three sections: the hardware design, software design and data analysis, respectively.Among them, the hardware design includes the design of power circuit, design of signal conditioningcircuit, design of analog-to-digital conversion circuit and design of Ethernet communication; Softwaredesign includes: the program interface design and database design. This test system can automaticallyevaluate vehicle braking performance, the testing personnel just need to follow the instructions of thesystem, driving the car to the test tablet and trampling the brake, then the car braking performance canbe obtained. After testing and data analysis shows that the braking performance of the plate braketester can be more true reflection of the car; brake initial velocity has little effect on the test results;using dynamic wheel load braking rate calculated braking rate repeatability better. |
