As an important core component of high-speed EMU, the merits of the brake system performance directly affects its running state. The key core technology of existing series of high-speed EMU braking system is still in the hands of foreign suppliers, which seriously hinders the development of high-speed railway vehicles in China. In the second half of 2013, a large number of railway industry manufacturers and research institutes carry out the standardization research for China’s high-speed EMU, the move to implement general swaps of the EMU parts and break the EMU parts supply monopoly, reduce the number of spare parts, lower the EMU to purchase and test cost.High-speed EMU braking system are microcomputer control electric instruction cut-through electro pneumatic brake system. Brake forms including pure air braking and compound braking. After more than based on the comprehensive braking system design idea and refering to the law of the People’s Republic of China railway industry standard TB/T 1407-1407 \"regulations of train traction calculation, related standards, The paper firstly introduces the EMU control part of the braking system, and then analyzes the main parameters of the EMU braking system, and formulate the control strategy of the braking system, and then conducted on electronic control air braking and regenerative braking of detailed study.This article is based on the software respectively to the EMU electric control air braking and regenerative braking simulation, geting more important characteristic curve. The use of regenerative braking system built imitation is the core in this article. In order to better complete the simulation of regenerative braking, this paper studies the main current converter control strategy and choose two of the most suitable control strategy:predictive current control and indirect torque control regenerative braking model established finally This subject mainly research the composite common brake the most representative brake model to verify the accuracy of the above model.In addition, according to the author in China academy of railway sciences work experience, combined the characteristic curves of simulation and practical characteristic curve of the detected will be made, it further proves the validity of the joint simulation model and improves the actual braking system provides an effective research method.Finally, using the established model, this paper studied the braking distance.It is concluded that the composite braking conditions commonly used the braking distance of braking original speed characteristic curve, to satisfy the People’s Republic of China railway industry standard train braking operation test rules rules.
