Based on the environmental behavior theory, the author summarizes the development ofdesign on campus and the teaching building, in order to get on the era background and currentdevelopment of multifunctional teaching buildings. All these researchs are to lay thefoundation for the next study. On this basis, the author from the environment behavior theoryanalysis and the necessity of combining with architectural design, put the two together, accodring investigation, observation, interviews and questionnaires and other forms to obtainpatterns of behavior and psychological needs of users multifunctional teaching buildings inthe first hand information by contrast, research and sorting, means that data and the scale ofthe campus planning and architecture design of teaching buildings. The paper’s innovation research is to study the statistical research on multifunctionalteaching buildings spatial scale index data, such as the teaching building unit within thecourtyard of high aspect ratio (D/H value) and space interface parameter (K) on the user’spsychology and comfort effect. Through the spatial boundary proportion (%) are calculated tostudy user behavior and psychological changes in its internal characteristics of the. Amongthem, K value associated with the regional architecture, functional characteristics, space type.First, paper is clear about the background of research, and then determines the objectives, object, scope, content and methods of the study to design the framework of the study.Secondly, the preliminary stage to research--research literature theory, focuses on theresearch of the teaching building in western history, the multifunctional teaching buildingsuse present situation, different types of teaching buildings typical characteristics and relevantdomestic and foreign theoretical research monographs. Then, in-depth interviews withrespondents, the specific content of lacking of integrative teaching buildings designimprovement.Thirdly, additional research stage into the investigation, an intensive study onmultifunctional teaching buildings, including function, traffic streamline, space scale, comfortevaluation, identification system and the classroom layout, interior environment design andweakening mass requirements, as well as the research use mode of teachers and students. Finally, the author based on an analysis of the case and the results are applied to thepractical project, and the prospect of study on environmental behavior of holistic teachingbuilding design under the theory of development in the future.
