With the significant increase of Comprehensive strength in economy, technology and culture and other areas and the deepening of international exchanges, our country, who around the two major themes of national education and lifelong education, has carried on the deepening reform to the elementary education which takes the elementary education as the core, and changes the development concept from the traditional "popular culture, performance as the core" of the examination oriented education to the "individual study, the ability of comprehensive" quality education. According to international experience, as the important space carrier of school education, the flexible and diverse layout and space combination mode of teaching space, have important significance for improving students' learning ability and comprehensive quality. Therefore, the new teaching mode needs to give birth to the new teaching space. However, at present, there are two problems in the use and design of the teaching space of ordinary primary schools in China:on the one hand, the vast majority of the teaching space is still the product of the era of traditional examination oriented Education, and has been unable to meet the requirements of the new era of educational philosophy; on the other hand, according to the traditional thinking inertia of the designers, most of the new design of the teaching space focus on the pursuit of meeting the architectural appearance, basic teaching functions and design specifications, lacking the research on the psychology and activity behavior of primary school students, which leads to the single organization form of teaching space, which are unable to adapt to the development of the new educational concept.In order to provide some reference for the design of primary school teaching space in the future, this topic will take t the primary school teaching space as the research object. Based on the differences between domestic and foreign educational background and the psychological and behavioral characteristics of primary school students, the topic will use the method of environmental behavior to study the selection cases of ordinary primary schools and international schools. Through the comparison of the differences between the two kinds of teaching space in the ability to meet the needs of pupils' behavior, recognizing the gap between ordinary primary schools and international schools in China. And then analyze and compare the cases at home and abroad from the four aspects of interior space layout mode, teaching space patterns of the unit area, unit of the classroom and non-classroom space, summarizes the composition characteristics and combination rule under different modes of teaching and teaching space. Finally, from the above four aspects, put forward the principle and strategy of constructing the teaching space combination mode adapting to the situation of our country based on the characteristics of teaching mode in China and to meet the needs of students' psychological and behavioral needs two angles. Sum up the primary school teaching space combination mode adapting to the current teaching idea in our country with the architectural icon language.
