Now in china,as our concept of education transforming in universities,learning and teaching is no longer confined to the classrooms.It emphasizes the overall development of students and focuses on developing students' abilities of self-learning,communication,cooperation,and innovation to tap students' personality and inherent potential as more as possible.At the same time,there is little public space that students can approve and belong to.Traditional classrooms and single spatial form can't satisfy students' psychological needs.As an important type of university teaching building,the enclosed teaching building is of great significance for conducting student-based public space research of public space.This article focuses on the relationship between students' behaviors and nodes of public space in teaching buildings.It aims to sum up the space factors that can affect students' behavior from learning characteristics of student behavior distribution and behavior types..First of all,taking the Nanjing University Teaching Building as an example,we can screen four different types of enclosed teaching buildings,and carding public space inside and outside.External public space is selected in each teaching building: entrance space and courtyard space;internal public Space: Foyer space,corridor space,and stair space.Secondly,we can use behavior mapping to get the information of public space nodes in teaching buildings whenever workdays and weekends.We can know the usage of public space and analyze the distribution characteristics of behavior types and behavior subject attribute in different space.Also we can explore students' behavior patterns.Finally,by summarizing student behavior distribution and type characteristics,we can propose the tactics of designs and optimizations in five levels: the position of public space nodes from public space,the interface and limitation of public space,the scale and shape of public space,the level of public space and the elements of public space.It will help promote student interaction,enhance students' sense of belonging and sense of space,and provide reference for the design and optimization of public spaces of enclosed teaching buildings.
