Industry design innovation mode begun to shift from closed innovation mode to openinnovation mode in recent years. Due to its gathering great mass innovation wisdoms andintegrating decentralizedinnovation resources, and the characteristic of spontaniety, industrydesign cloud innovation will makea profoundimpact on the industrial designand thewholedesign field in the future. The members of virtual design community, which performs asthe network carrier for industry design cloud innovation, have formed a social network.Structural pattern of the social network affects the design cloud innovation greatly.Based on hyper gragh theory, this paper will build a social network model of industrycloud innovation community, and will analyze the structural characteristics of the network.From the perspective of social network basic properties, centrality, structural equivalence,network evolution, analyze the interact network of virtual design community members, andextract characteristics of cloud innovation network model in the aspects of network size,interactive intensity ofmembers, collaborative efficiency, individualsdependence, networkstability, and time-interdependency.Using the casestudymethod, bymeans ofinternettextdata acquisition, data related to socialnetwork structure are collected from the virtual design community. The collected data arestructurally stored in a relational database MySQL data table, and can be called an inquired bymeans of SQL (Structured Query Language) statements. A data processing algorithm isdesigned in order to convert the structural data in database to adjacent matrix, which can bedirectly input to SNA (Social Network Analysis) software. The social network parameters ofthe virtual design community are measured, and the network structural characteristics arestatistically analyzed. Results are comparativelystudied to the cloud innovation communitynetwork model. By revealing the innovation interact structure mode of current virtual designcommunity, the favorable conditions and inadequacy to converting the virtual designcommunity innovation mode to cloud innovation mode are analyzed. Cause analysis anddevelop proposals are put forward as well.
