Dynamic Assessment And Control Strategy Study Of Highway Traffic

So far, traffic safety and traffic jam are still two big problems which highwaytraffic management must deal with. And there are so many factors influencinghighway traffic, in which some factors are characterized as dynamical, such as trafficstream characteristics, weather condition, road environmental lightness, and so on. Itis meaningful for easing traffic congestion and improving traffic safety to establishthe highway dynamical traffic assessment index system and dynamical highwaytraffic assessment method and study the highway traffic control theory based on thedynamical highway traffic assessment result.Firstly, influences and influence mechanism of highway traffic were studied,meanwhile the highway dynamical traffic assessment index system was establishedand the highway dynamical traffic assessment method based on fuzzy theory and BPneural network was proposed in this paper. And then the fuzzy logic controller of bothramp and main line based on the highway dynamical traffic assessment was studiedaccording to existing highway traffic control method. At last, the highway trafficcontrol platform based on the highway dynamical traffic assessment was developedbased on ActiveX technology through hybrid programming with VB and Matlab andExcel. This platform integrated both the highway dynamical traffic assessmentprocess and highway traffic control process and realized that real time highwaytraffic control strategy can be generated based on the highway dynamical trafficassessment result.
