Hydraulic shock absorber is a key component of railway vehicle suspension parts, canabsorb and ease road irregularities caused by vibration and impact. Its performance directlyaffects railway vehicle’s stability, comfort, the service life of vehicle components and drivingsafety. With the rapid development of high-speed railway in our country, modern high-speedtrain’s speed has been up to350km/h, and has the trend to push more than400km/h. It isparticularly important to ensure the train’s safety of operation and comfort, it puts forwardhigher requirements on performance of shock absorber design.Shock absorber structureparameters as the main influence factors of its damping characteristics, their changes willhave an important influence on the vehicle dynamics performance.At present, most scholars study the shock absorber structure parameters are not identical,but the structure parameters are mainly classified into valve parameters, piston rod diameter,end connection stiffness. Their analysis are only for one or several parameters instead of fullsystem analysis for whole structure.Therefore, it is so urgent need to study relationshipbetween structure parameters and dynamic characteristics.Taking high-speed train lateral shock absorber as the research object, and analyzing itsstructure and working principle. Through establishing railway vehicle hydraulic shockabsorber model in Easy5and co-simulation model in Adams/View, selecting main structuralparameters and doing digital experiment research, analyzing the influence of variousstructural parameters on the damping characteristics. That using the method of orthogonalexperiment analyzes the effect of shock absorber valve system parameters on its performancefor further study. Establishing CRH2vehicle dynamics model in Adams/Rail, and embeddingshock absorber in vehicle model, analyzing the influence of structure parameters on thevehicle dynamic performance.This paper using numerical simulation method full analyzes the relationship betweenrailway vehicles hydraulic shock absorber structure parameters and dynamic characteristics,which will further design hydraulic shock absorber performance for speed up the high-speedtrain to provide important basis.
