This article conducts the research of shock absorber whose internal structure is limitstructure. Work mechanism of floating piston hydraulic limit shock absorber is analyzed,mathematical model and equivalent hydraulic model of floating piston hydraulic limit shockabsorber are established. Characteristic curve of floating piston shock absorber is got bysimulation and test to verify research result. Specific research contents of this paper include:Firstly, internal structure and working mechanism of general shock absorber and floatingpiston hydraulic limit shock absorber are analyzed. Based on this, mathematical model offloating piston shock absorber is established according to the knowledge of fluid mechanicsand damping force equation of shock absorber rebound stroke and compress stroke is got,especially the equation of floating piston in rebound stroke.Secondly, equivalent hydraulic model of floating piston hydraulic limit shock absorber isestablished in the AMESim platform. Simulation and experiment analysis of general shockabsorber oil density parameters, piston rod diameter, piston body aperture parameters,different notch of valve plate and different valve combination are conducted. Characteristiccurve of shock absorber is got to verify the correctness of mathematical model and equivalenthydraulic model. Simulation and experimental analysis of different valve combination,different limit position and different diameter floating piston in hydraulic limit shockabsorber is conducted. Characteristic curve of hydraulic limit shock absorber is got to verifythe correctness of mathematical model and equivalent hydraulic model. Simulation andexperimental analysis of hydraulic limit shock absorber at different valve combination,different limit position, different floating piston diameter. Characteristic curve of hydrauliclimit shock absorber is got to verify the correctness of mathematical model and equivalenthydraulic model about floating piston parts.Finally, based on equivalent hydraulic model of floating piston hydraulic limit shockabsorber, a quarter vehicle model is established and ride comfort simulation is conducted inAMESim platform. According to impact analysis of vehicle ride comfort imposed by normalshock absorber and floating piston hydraulic limit shock absorber in condition of convexincentive at different speed, different load, different height, verify vehicle ride comfortimprovement effect imposed by hydraulic limit shock absorber.
