Under the background of vigorously building of bus-only lanes in major cities in ourcountry, the analysis of bus-only lane construction costs and operation benefits is imminent.From the perspective of whole life-cycle, this thesis studies influencing factors of bus-onlylanes costs and benefits, the division of bus-only lanes life-cycle, the components of costs andbenefits of bus-only lane on the whole life-cycle, the mathematical models of whole life-cyclecost and benefit for bus-only lane, puts forward whole life-cycle cost-benefit analysis methodof bus-only lane. The specific researched results are as follows:Analyzed the present condition, meaning, setting conditions of bus-only lanes, from theperspective of whole life-cycle, the life-cycle of bus-only lane is divided into planning anddesign stage, construction and implementation stage, operation and management stage, scrapand recovery stage, the components of costs and benefits of all stages are discussed, the basicanalysis thought of bus-only lane whole life-cycle cost-benefit analysis is put forward;The effect factors of residents travel mode choice is analyzed, based on the randomutility theory, with travel time and cost as characteristic variable, the calculation method oftravel time is put forward, the binomial logit model is selected to build the transfer model ofsocial vehicle to bus after setting bus-only lane;On the basis of the components of costs and benefits of bus-only lane whole life-cycle,the estimation method of bus-only lane internal cost is proposed, focusing on discussion ofthe external costs in the construction and implementation stage, the calculation methods of theincrease of travel time cost, the increase of vehicle transport cost, traffic safety cost are putforward. Focusing on the benefits of travel time savings, vehicle transport cost savings,security in the operation and management stage, the total benefits of the whole life-cycle ofbus-only lane are analyzed, at the same time the method of using Logsum model to calculatebus-only lane traveler benefit in the operation and management stage is put forward; finally,considering the time value of money, the mathematical models of whole life-cycle cost andbenefit for bus-only lane are built to analyze the cost and benefit of bus-only lane; To Xi Ying Road in Xi’an as the research object and investigating the condition of roadsand traffic, from three indicators of section speed, intersection delay, vehicle operating costanalysis of the effect of bus-only lanes, whole life-cycle cost and benefit of this bus-only laneis calculated and analyzed; the general benefit calculation method and Logum calculationmethod are compared.
