Currently, along with the increase of automobile ownership, the status of theenergy crisis and environmental pollution is becoming more and more serious. At thispoint, the alternative fuel that can substitute traditional gasoline and diesel fuel beginto enter people’s view line. One of the most important alternative fuels is methanol.Methanol fuel has characteristics of low pollution and low cost, also is plentiful.Methanol fuel is becoming the focus of people’s concern; in many parts of the nationhas been promoting methanol gasoline.In chapter2introduced the revision of shaanxi province M15methanol gasolinelocal standards and M25methanol gasoline local standards. The author participated inthis work. It introduced the standard revision background, significance, main workingprocess, the standard revision solution and main technical indexes. Finally, it provedthe standard physical and chemical indicators of methanol gasoline by testing thespecific values. Revision of the standard is the methanol automobile reliabilityexperiment foundation.The main purpose of the paper is M15methanol automobile reliability test. Roadrunning test used two kinds of fuel (93#gasoline and M15methanol gasoline),running three stages (10,000kilometers,40,000kilometers,80,000kilometers) toevaluate the test vehicle. The reliability of road test mainly examine93#gasoline andM15methanol gasoline on the influence of the test vehicle dynamic performance,emission performance, fuel consumption and vehicle fuel supply system.The experimental conclusion is as follows:(1) In terms of dynamic performance,compared93#gasoline with M15methanol gasoline, we tested the direct gearacceleration and starting shift acceleration,the two test average acceleration time arealmost equal, there is no obvious changing and the power performance didn’t decline;(2) In terms of emissions, M15methanol gasoline conventional emissions are muchfewer than93#gasoline conventional emissions, the decrease is about20%, but theformaldehyde emission of M15methanol gasoline is slightly higher than93#gasoline’s;(3) In terms of fuel consumption, the test cars fueled with M15methanol gasoline, the per hundred kilometers fuel consumption exceeds the93#gasoline’sabout5%, but don’t exceed the expected value6%;(4) In terms of influence onvehicle fuel supply system, compared93#gasoline with M15methanol gasoline inthe process of test, the test data fluctuation is tiny, the indicators are normal and thereis no breakdown in the process of test, which indicate that the M15methanol gasolinehave minimal impact on vehicle fuel supply system. Finally, the conclusion of M15methanol automobile test reliability can be got from above these aspects.
