A Research On The Protection And Utilization Of Historical And Cultural Heritage In Linyou County

In recent years, the contradiction between city construction and historical cityprotection has increasingly prominent along with the human development and cityexpansion. Lots of ancient cities are experiencing the impacts of economicdevelopments in different extent. The protection of the historical and cultural heritageis becoming more and more important because of the dent of ancient cultures,characteristics and heritages. In this situation, how to revive the ancient city withmaking full use of its historical and cultural heritage has become an urgent issue.Even though the ancient city of Linyou is rich in historical resources, culturalresources and natural resources, how to protect and take advantage of them alwaysstay in the passive aspect. This leads directly to lacking characteristics of Linyou, andits historical and cultural heritage are destroyed in different degrees.According to the basic information of Linyou’s development and historicalevolution, this paper analyzed all aspects of conditions in Linyou such as the presentsituation, historical sites and natural resources. Under the guidance of a variety oftheories such as city renewal, city imagination, classification protection, sustainabledevelopment, this paper put forward a protection level which is from point to line andto plane combined with the spatial qualities, city function, city distribution structureof Linyou. And finally a professional and positive protection system formed whichcovered circulation protection, policy protection, renewal protection etc.Through the above methods, the protection of Linyou’s heritage changed fromnegative to positive. And it could promote the characteristic construction of Linyou,develop the history and culture of the ancient city space, solve the contradiction of theprotection of Linyou, and promote the city spirit of Linyou. On this basis, this papercould provide some reference for the same type of historical and cultural city, andform a new generation of protection mechanism to solve the contraction betweenprotection and development. In this way, the characteristics of ancient city will bereshaped and the historical culture will be inherited.Chapter1is the introduction of this research. It described the purpose and significance of the study, traced the domestic and international theory and practice,and put forward the research content and method.Chapter2analyzed the general situation, history and natural environmentcharacteristics of Linyou, to study the relationship between city development andhistorical heritage of Linyou.Chapter3concluded Linyou’s historical and cultural heritage from the form, type,location, present situation and so on.Chapter4analyzed the relationship between the historical and cultural heritageand the city space and expounded the research to the heritage from the city function,city layout, the city style etc.Chapter5is the foothold of this paper. It put forward a protection level which isfrom point to line and to plane. And then it described the development plan to formingthe protection system.
