Short shear wall structure is based on a new architecture on the basis of ordinary shear walls absorb the advantages of frame structure and the development of formation. Short Shear Wall is the ratio of section height and thickness in the range of5to8shear wall, and its thickness is generally not less than200mm, limb length is between1000to2500.As a newly developed structure, short pier shear wall structures have been widely used in engineering practice in our country has made great progress. However, research is still in its theoretical exploration, and improve, the existing design of concrete structures and high-rise construction industry standards are no specific provisions on short shear wall design.Based on the principles of computer simulation, the use of large-scale nonlinear finite element software ABAQUS for L shaped short pier shear tests under simulated monotonic loading. Hexahedral element model using three-dimensional solid concrete, reinforced nodes using two dimensional linear truss element, able to respond to the use of steel and concrete mechanism of interaction between the separate modeling, meshing using free-way mesh. The main works are as flows:(1)On26L-shaped short pier shear model for static analysis, specimen failure process, stress and deformation characteristics were analyzed, discussed the axial compression ratio, concrete strength, wall thickness ratio of limb-section changes the specimen deformation affected the performance, analyzes the influencing factors on the specimen bearing capacity and ductility properties.(2)This paper analyzes the conclusions based on existing theory and provide reasonable suggestions for the L shaped short pier shear wall, in order to provide a reference for the structural design and construction.
