Historical Research And Development Of Sports Facilities In Xiamen Universities

University Development is a continuous and overall process, sports facilities isan important part of university construction. In recent years, as China’s sports careeradvancement and the construction of college warming, university sports facilitiesdeveloped rapidly, updated faster, but also faced many new problems. This articleselects university sports facilities in Xiamen as the research object, with inductionand analysis, hoping to improve the relevant historical data and information, andprovide some inspiration and suggestions for the design practice and developmentdirection of university sports facilities in China.Xiamen City is an important city in Fujian Province and one of the earliestregions to carry out modern sports activities in China. This article studies universitysports facilities in Xiamen, and divides the history of its development process intothree stages and analyze and summarize respectively. Then analysis through the fourfactors, including policy factors, economic conditions, technology level and sportsculture, to explore its own mechanism of action. On this basis, we can evaluate thefeatures of the facilities and pros and cons of the development in different stages.The oldest universities in Xiamen are Xiamen University and Jimei University,of which development of sports facilities is the focus in this study. University sportsfacilities include sports architecture and sports grounds. For the history part, we cometo development characteristics and problems in different stages by combining thehistory of Xiamen university. For the current situation, we analysis the results andinsufficient of the construction through a lot of researchs of each university sportsfacilities, especially some in-depth research and category discussion of the newstadiums. For future development, through analysis and argumentation, we putforward the target to improve the system of college sports facilities and the way ofsocial operations. In addition, the article also raised attention to development trend offunctional design and ecological sustainability.
